Have you ever considered the impact your life and resources will make for the kingdom of God after you have gone home to be with the Lord? Statistics show that few of us have taken steps to create a legacy gift that will make a difference long after our lifetime.
By taking the time to plan your giving to the Lord and to Pantego Bible Church, you can leave a legacy that continues to reach people with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ even beyond your lifetime.
Pantego Bible Church Planned Giving Program shows you how to make a planned gift.
What is a Planned Gift?
A planned gift involves the integration of personal, financial and estate planning concepts with a person’s plan for lifetime or testamentary charitable giving. Ways to plan your giving to PBC include the following.
Charitable Bequest
The easiest way to plan your giving to PBC is via a charitable bequest. A bequest is a deferred gift made to a charity in your will or trust. If you already have a will, you can add a simple codicil (amendment) to your will to include a charitable bequest.
Charitable Remainder Trust
This technique allows you to place your gift of cash, marketable securities, closely held stock, or real estate into a special tax-exempt trust (called a charitable remainder trust). In return, you receive annual income for life, as well as a partial charitable income tax deduction. At your death, the remaining trust assets (the "remainder") are transferred to Pantego Bible Church.
Gift of Life Insurance
Naming a non-profit ministry such as Pantego Bible Church as a beneficiary in an existing or new life insurance policy is another way to plan your giving.
Gift of Retirement Plan Assets
Tax-deferred retirement plans, such as IRA's, 401(k), 403(b) and Keogh accounts, have not only become a major factor in financial planning and estate planning, but in charitable gift planning as well.
