Welcome to the Spiritual Formation Institute

 The Spiritual Formation Institute (SFI) is people working together to develop and deliver a unified and comprehensive education for spiritual formation to the people of Pantego Bible Church. SFI offers three different kinds of learning experiences at various times on Sunday morning and during the week.
SFI provides instruction in the 30 Core Competencies, Bible literacy, theology for living, family studies, and ethical issues. It provides training for leadership, teaching, and shepherding and helping ministries. And it provides mentoring that involves contact hours with staff, elders, leaders, and other gifted people in the church.
The mission of the Spiritual Formation Institute is to help you become a fully developing follower of Jesus Christ through a comprehensive program of biblically and educationally sound instruction, training, and mentoring intended to contribute to your spiritual growth and equip you to contribute to the spiritual growth of others in the body of Christ.

SFI Spring 2010 begins February 17 Who can attend? When and Where?
Spring SFI Classes begin February 17, 2010 click here to register.
The SFI classes meet on Wednesday nights from 6:45 - 8:00 PM at THE CONNECTION, Pantego Bible Church, 8200 Anderson Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76120.
If you will need childcare for Session 1 , it must be reserved by Sunday, February 14, using our Childcare Reservation Form Childcare for Session 2, must be reserved by Friday April 2.

Chip's message will uncover what to be a disciple, how more like Jesus each day and how to give God what He wants most.
Chip Ingram is Senior Pastor of Venture Christian Church in Los Gatos, CA and President of Living on the Edge, an international teaching and discipleship ministry that provides practical help for everyday believers. He also served five years as president of Walk Thru the Bible. He is th author of 11 books and his teaching can be heard on hundreds of radio stations and multiple televiion outlets worldwide.
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY - February 17 - May 5
Join us as we study, "There is a Season: Experiencing Contentment in Every Season of Life", by Laurie Cole. Studies meet every Wednesday with the exception of Spring Break March 17. Morning study is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and evening study is 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. in The Connection. (**The evening study will meet on Tuesday, February 16 in The Connection for the first week only due to Chip Ingram Evening.) Cost is $20 and you may register in the lobby on January 24, February 7 and 14 at the women's ministry booth, or online.

LIT: LEADERS IN TRAINING

If you serve at Pantego Bible Church, you are a leader. Take this class to hear more about the vision, purpose, plan, and future training opportunities for upcoming leaders at Pantego. Cost $5 for book.
TEACHING COMMUNITY GROUPS 101
Instructors: Tom Bulick and Elliott Johnson
This class is essential for all Community Group teachers. In it you'll learn evwerything you need to know that you didn't know you needed to know about the unique way we teach the Bible. You can attend Wednesday nights from 6:45 - 8:00 pm, April 7 - 28 or Saturday mornings from 8:30 - 10:30 am, April 10 - 17. Free.
KEY TO EFFECTIVE BIBLE STUDY
Instructor: Kevin Glenn
In this class, we identify a simple three-step approach to Bible study that is certain to guide you in your pursuit of a deeper, more impactful experience with God in His word. Additionally, we will identify the essential extra-biblical resources necessary to maximize the effectiveness of this indispensible Christian discipline. Book may need to be purchased for this class.
MARRIAGE FOUNDATIONS

You can build the marriage of your dream! Whether you are soon to be married or are in your first 2 years, Marriage Foundations will help you start right and start strong in a lifelong and successful marriage. engage with seasoned marriage mentors as we examine key foundations for creating unity and relational growth. Cost $20 per couple.
PARENTING FOR GOD'S PURPOSE
Instructor: Rena" Huguenin and Kathy Burt, ACI Academy
What goals do you have for your children? You know God has big plans for them; the question is how do you parent them toward becoming all He and you want them go be. this class examines "best practice" answers to that question. Free.
It seems we know the least about the One who has the most to do with our spiritual lives. Learn about what the Spirit does in us, how to sense what He's doing and how to respond to His influence.

K-4th Grade
What's soft, leather and over 3,000 years old? You probably have one.... it's the Bible! Join us as we get to know the Bible in a fun and exciting way. We will explore questions like "How did we get the Bible?", "Who wrote it down?" and "What does it tell me about God?" Free

Anyone interested in growing spiritually can attend the Spiritual Formation Institute. Courses, workshops, and seminars are available for seekers who are not Christians but are interested in exploring the claims of Christianity, for Christians setting out on their spiritual journey as well as those who have been Christians for a while but in retrospect see that they have not traveled as far as they had wanted, and more mature Christians looking for a challenge that will move them on toward maturity.
Unless specifically intended for children, all courses are open to high school students as well as adults.

Spring 2010 Session begins February 17
Some classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:15 and others on Sunday mornings. Workshops and seminars are generally held during the day on Saturdays. Note the schedule for the day and time the course you are interested in meets. Most classes will meet in The Connection at Pantego Bible Church. (The Connection is located at 8200 Anderson Blvd.)
Classes are generally 60 - 75 minutes long. Workshops and seminars may be scheduled for a full day with timely breaks included for snacks and meals.
